Es Cavallet

A beautiful long stretch of white sand that is also famously one of Ibiza’s ‘official’ nudist and gay-friendly beaches, Es Cavallet’s appeal lies in its natural beauty. From the dark blue of the sea beside the rocks to the white foam of the waves gently breaking on the shore, it is picturesque and extremely popular due to its close proximity to Ibiza Town. Surrounded by sand dunes, it is also a popular area for those who like to hike.

People attending

Es Cavallet’s crowd tends to be a melting pot of all nationalities, sexualities and personalities! The south end of the beach attracts a predominantly gay crowd and is popular with nudists, while the centre is full of families and expats.

Best time to go

Hit the beach before lunchtime, especially in August, or you’ll get stuck having to walk through the salt flats in blistering heat!

So much to do, so little time! Es Figueral is perfect for active beachgoers – try your hand at windsurfing if the weather permits, or enroll in diving school for the day and check out the wonders of the Balearic Sea up close and personal!

Location: Between Playa d’en Bossa and Las Salinas in the south.

How to get there: Es Cavallet is accessible by buses departing from Ibiza Town and Playa Den Bossa. It is a short drive from town however parking and traffic along the very narrow strip of road leading to the beach can prove very difficult in peak season, so a short taxi ride is recommended.

From Ibiza Town: 5-minute drive. From San Antonio: 25-minute drive.
