Ibiza cave party shut down with €600k fine for organisers
An illegal Ibiza cave party has triggered a massive legal response in Santa Eulària. Local authorities fined the organisers up to €600,000 after uncovering a packed rave in a rural cave, hosting nearly 500 people without permits or safety measures.

Party inside a cave sparks alarm
Officers from the Local Police and Guardia Civil raided a hidden party in the countryside. They found live music, private security, and even a medical team. But the site, adapted as a nightclub, lacked proper authorisation and posed serious risks to safety, hygiene, and the environment.
Council acts quickly
The Santa Eulària town hall immediately ordered the event to stop. They also sealed off the entire area to prevent further activity. Officials said the organisers broke multiple regulations, including operating without a licence and failing to meet emergency requirements.
Fines and legal process
The hosts now face two very serious infractions, each carrying heavy penalties. Combined, the fine could range from €60,002 to €600,000. Those responsible have 15 working days to respond and present their case.
Why authorities are cracking down
The Ibiza cave party is just one of many unauthorised gatherings that pop up during peak season. These events often avoid taxes, permits, and safety checks. The council aims to stop this trend to protect both residents and the island’s delicate environment.
