Ibiza Christmas Celebration Kicks Off With Music, Shows And Family Events

Ibiza starts the festive season this Saturday with a large public celebration designed for all ages. The Ibiza Christmas Celebration marks the official opening of Christmas in Vila and sets the tone for weeks of cultural, musical and family-focused events.

Residents and visitors will gather in key city spaces as the council launches a programme that combines performance, music, inclusivity and neighbourhood participation.

A Festive Opening In Reina Sofía Park

The main opening event takes place at Reina Sofía Park from 18:30. The council has prepared a large-scale festive show that blends light, movement and live performance. Nearly fifty artists will take part, including dancers, acrobats and costumed characters.

Organisers aim to transform the park into an immersive festive setting. The goal is not only spectacle but also shared experience. The Ibiza Christmas Celebration seeks to bring people together in a joyful and welcoming atmosphere.

Families remain a clear priority. The event invites children, adults and seniors to enjoy the same space at the same time.

Inclusive Spirit Moves To Vara de Rey

At 19:00, the celebration continues in Vara de Rey. A large tent will host Ibiza Love Retro, an inclusive festive party organised with local social organisations.

This part of the Ibiza Christmas Celebration focuses on accessibility and participation. The initiative promotes social inclusion and highlights community work on the island. City officials want Christmas events to reflect shared values, not only entertainment.

Music, dancing and open participation define this stage of the evening.

Live Music And A New Meeting Point

From 20:00, Vara de Rey will welcome live music with a concert by Bluesmafia Elèctrico. The performance opens a new Christmas food and hospitality market located next to the city’s Christmas tree.

The area combines gastronomy with culture and aims to become a regular festive meeting point. The council hopes it will attract residents and visitors throughout the holiday period.

This initiative strengthens the Ibiza Christmas Celebration by extending activity beyond a single event.

Christmas Reaches Every Neighbourhood

According to the councillor for festivities, Ibiza will once again become a “Christmas city”. The programme includes more than fifty concerts, family activities and mobile events that will reach different neighbourhoods.

This year also introduces new accessible letter templates for Father Christmas and the Three Kings. The designs ensure all children can take part in seasonal traditions.

Additional activities include Santas Band on the Road, cycling parades, travelling photo spots and creative workshops. Together, these initiatives confirm that the Ibiza Christmas Celebration extends beyond a single night, spreading festive energy across Vila.
