Ibiza Sunbed Price Warning: Vendors Demand €25 and Face €3,000 Fines
The local government of Ibiza is cracking down on vendors overcharging tourists for sunbeds and umbrellas. The Ibiza sunbed price is officially capped at €6 per day. However, some concessionaires have been charging much more.

Vendors Fined for Ignoring the €6 Limit
Two beach vendors are facing fines of up to €3,000. One in Talamanca was charging €25 per sunbed. Another in Figueretes was demanding €10 and had placed furniture outside their permitted area. The Local Police fined this vendor for improper use of public space.
Rubén Sousa, Ibiza’s Councillor for Beaches, confirmed that similar cases have emerged throughout the 2024 season. The Ibiza sunbed price rule exists to protect residents and tourists from price abuse.
How to Report Overcharging
If you’re on a beach and believe you’re being overcharged, you have two options:
- Call the Local Police so they can respond on-site.
- Use the Línea Verde app to submit a complaint. There is a specific section for beach-related issues.
Sousa has promised stricter enforcement going forward. He also warned that concessionaires who repeatedly break the rules could lose their licences. A new set of beach operation guidelines is expected next season with even harsher penalties.
Fair Beach Access for All
The Ibiza Council wants everyone to enjoy fair and regulated beach services. The fixed Ibiza sunbed price helps keep the beaches accessible and tourist-friendly. Be aware of your rights and report any irregularities you face.
