Sant Antoni Offers Up to €80,000 for Bar-to-Shop Conversions

Sant Antoni Bar Conversion – Sant Antoni’s local council has launched a generous grant scheme to encourage bars and pubs to convert into shops or restaurants. With up to €80,000 available per project, this initiative aims to revitalise the town’s central area and diversify its business offerings.

Grant Details

Who Can Apply?

Businesses located within Sant Antoni’s Special Acoustic Protection Zone (ZPAE) are eligible. The grants target establishments willing to transform from bars or pubs into retail shops or restaurants.

Funding Available

The council has allocated €1 million to this scheme. Each project can receive 100% funding of its costs, up to a maximum of €80,000. The funding will be available until the budget is exhausted.

How to Apply

Application Period

Applications are open from 18 September to 8 October, inclusive.

Submission Process

Interested parties should submit their applications through the electronic portal on Sant Antoni’s council website. Alternatively, applications can be made in person at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC) by booking an appointment at 971 34 01 11.

Objectives of the Scheme

The Sant Antoni grants for bar conversion aim to:

  • Diversify the Local Economy: Encourage a shift from nightlife-focused businesses to daytime retail and dining options.
  • Revitalise the Central Area: Boost daytime activity and enhance the quality of the town centre.
  • Support Business Transformation: Provide financial assistance for the start-up, modernisation, and competitive improvement of local businesses.

Council’s Vision

Eva Prats, the Councillor for Urbanism and Activities, highlighted the council’s commitment to improving the municipality. “Last year, we allocated €230,000 from European funds. This year, we’ve increased our investment to help more businesses benefit from the Sant Antoni grants for bar conversion,” she said.
