The Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET) has forecasted a stable weather week in the Balearic Islands, marked by clear skies, calm winds, and a gradual rise in temperatures. The archipelago will experience a pleasant spell due to the arrival of a warm air mass from the south. Conditions will remain stable until Friday, when a weak cold front could bring light rain and a temporary temperature drop.

Stable Weather Week in the Balearic Islands: Clear Skies And Rising Temperatures

Early Week Conditions

Monday and Tuesday – Calm Start

The week begins with a peaceful atmosphere across the islands. On Monday, skies will stay mostly clear with occasional high clouds. Daytime temperatures will reach between 20 °C and 23 °C, while inland areas of Mallorca may see minimums of 7–8 °C during the night. Light south-westerly winds will maintain a pleasant feel.
Tuesday will follow a similar trend, featuring clear skies and mild conditions. Some early morning mist could appear in coastal areas, but it will clear quickly. Maximum temperatures will rise slightly, ranging from 21 °C to 24 °C, while the breeze shifts gently to a southern direction in the afternoon.

Mid-Week Shift

Wednesday and Thursday – Warm Air And Dust

From Wednesday, the weather pattern begins to change as warm air settles over the Balearic Islands. This will lead to higher temperatures and the arrival of Saharan dust suspended in the atmosphere. Minimums will stay around 12 °C, and maximums could climb up to 25 °C in coastal regions.
By Thursday, the stable weather week in the Balearic Islands reaches its warmest point. Temperatures may reach 26 °C in parts of Mallorca and Menorca. However, visibility could decrease as the dust becomes more noticeable, giving the sky a hazy or slightly yellow tone. Ibiza and Formentera will experience the most visible effects of the calima.

Late Week And Weekend Outlook

Friday – A Slight Change

A weak cold front arriving from the Iberian Peninsula on Friday will introduce more clouds and possible light showers in the morning. However, the rain will be brief and scattered, followed by clearer skies later in the day. Maximum temperatures will slightly drop to around 21–25 °C, while minimums rise to between 12 °C and 18 °C.

Weekend Preview

The weekend is expected to remain calm overall. Saturday will be mostly sunny and mild, ideal for outdoor activities. On Sunday, there’s a chance of isolated, light showers, though no significant weather disruption is anticipated. AEMET suggests that any major changes could arrive the following week.

What This Means For Residents And Visitors

  • Perfect week for outdoor plans like hiking, cycling, or relaxing by the beach.
  • People with respiratory sensitivities should note possible dust particles in the air.
  • Mornings and evenings will still feel fresh, so layered clothing is recommended.
  • Light rain gear may come in handy for Friday or Sunday.
  • For tourists, mid-week days will offer the warmest and most enjoyable weather for terrace dining or boat trips.

The stable weather week in the Balearic Islands will bring pleasant warmth, sunshine, and just a hint of Saharan dust — a reminder that autumn in the Mediterranean still has summer’s touch.
