Trial Opens in Shocking Ibiza Case

A shocking case of tattoo assault in Ibiza is now before the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands. A tattoo artist stands accused of sexually assaulting a client during a tattoo session in June 2022. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he allegedly took advantage of the client’s vulnerability during the procedure.

The accused, who owned the tattoo studio, allegedly inserted his fingers into the client’s vagina without consent, while she remained frozen in fear and unable to react. The incident has generated widespread attention in Ibiza, sparking conversations about client safety in personal service settings.

Prosecutors Seek Six-Year Sentence

The prosecution requests a six-year prison sentence, eight-year professional ban, and €15,000 compensation for the victim’s moral damages. The alleged assault occurred during a tattoo appointment, when the woman had no underwear and was in a vulnerable position.

Prosecutors argue that the accused abused his professional role to commit the offence. The case will test how Spanish courts handle such incidents in professional contexts involving physical contact and trust.

Court Hearing and Defence

The hearing began at 9:30 a.m. this Tuesday, with the First Section of the Provincial Court evaluating evidence from both sides. While the prosecution describes a deliberate assault, the defence denies all accusations and calls for a full acquittal of the tattoo artist.

If convicted, the defendant could face further restrictions beyond imprisonment, aimed at preventing contact with the victim and avoiding future offences.
