Ibiza, a popular destination for tourists seeking vibrant nightlife and stunning beaches, has recently witnessed another tragic incident related to the dangerous trend of balconing. On Thursday night, a 29-year-old man suffered severe injuries after falling from the second floor of a hotel in the heart of Ibiza.

Incident Details

According to the SAMU 061 emergency services, the incident occurred around 9:00 PM on Carles Román Ferrer street. The young man fell from a second-floor balcony of a hotel situated on this street. Emergency services were immediately alerted, and an Advanced Life Support ambulance was dispatched to the scene.

Medical personnel provided on-site attention to the victim, who sustained a critical head injury, before rushing him to the Policlínica Nuestra Señora del Rosario.The hospital activated its polytrauma protocol to address the severity of the injuries.

Pattern of Incidents

This incident is part of a worrying pattern of balconing accidents in Ibiza this season. In May, a young Italian tourist fell from the third floor of a hotel, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Just days later, another young man from Poland suffered similar injuries after falling from the second floor of an apartment building.
