Last month, at a well-known restaurant in Santa Eulària, a 72-year-old German man was dining with friends and his partner. He noticed that the dish served was not what he had ordered and seemed to be in poor condition.

Confrontation with the Chef

After informing the service staff about the issue, the chef approached the table aggressively. Shouting at the customer, he suddenly pushed him forcefully. The chef assaults customer in Ibiza restaurant scenario escalated quickly as the man fell, hitting his back and neck on a chair.

Further Aggression

While the customer lay on the ground, the chef threw the plate of food near him and continued to hurl insults. Shocked by the violent behaviour, the customer, his friends, and his partner left the restaurant promptly.

Medical Attention and Legal Actions

Initially, the injured man received treatment for minor bruises at a nearby health centre. However, his condition worsened, prompting a return to the hospital. Doctors found two blood clots in his thorax affecting his breathing, leading to immediate surgery at Hospital Son Espases in Palma.

Chef’s Arrest

Following the incident where the chef assaults customer in Ibiza restaurant, the 37-year-old Spanish chef was arrested by the Guardia Civil. He faces charges for causing serious injuries and has been presented before the Judicial Authority.

This alarming event highlights the importance of professionalism in the hospitality industry. The customer is recovering, and legal proceedings are underway.
