Springtime in Ibiza and Formentera has arrived two weeks after an unusual cold snap that brought below zero temperatures and unprecedented snowfall.
Weather forecasters at the Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predict minimum temperatures of between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius for the coming week, a slight decrease from the current temperatures. For example, on Sunday morning, the minimum temperature in Ibiza was 18.2 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Mallorca saw its first tropical night of the year, with temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius during the overnight period.
Maximum temperatures
In the Pitiusas will range from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius, and the chance of rain is almost zero throughout the week, except for Sunday, when the likelihood of rainfall will increase slightly to 35%.
Over the next two days, strong southeasterly winds will affect the northern part of the islands, with wind speeds of seven or higher. Despite some cloudy intervals, clear and sunny skies can be expected throughout the week, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
