The request to the Balearic Government demands the power to open the discotheques from June. The association trusts in the objective set by the Government of being able to reach the summer with most of the vaccinated population.

The group of companies undertakes to apply the protocol of action with health security measures that have already been presented at the meeting held between both parties. The meeting was attended by the president of the leisure association, José Luis Benítez, the Minister of Tourism and Labor and the director of the Balearic Institute of Occupational Health.

Will ibiza clubs open in 2021?

The president has stated that health and the Ibiza brand should continue to be prioritised, “It is the sector’s obligation to implement all available measures to provide security and confidence to workers and customers in coordination with the health authorities.”

Among the members of the association are the main clubs on the island. Pacha, Lio, Heart, Ibiza Rocks, Hï Ibiza, Dc10, among others. The objective of the Ibiza Leisure Association is to collaborate with all levels of the island, improve leisure, and spread the name of Ibiza throughout the world.

If the island’s nightclubs can open throughout June, it is unknown what will be the measures and controls that attendees must pass. What we have known is that different administrations want to launch a pilot concert/event like the one held a few weeks ago in Barcelona with the Love of lesbian group, where 5,000 people were able to dance without a safe distance and undergoing an antigen test before to enter the concert.
