The beaches of Portinatx are a group of coves that are located next to the town that bears the same name.
This group is made up of the coves of s’Arenal Petit, s’Arenal Gros and Cala or Port de Portinatx.

• S’Arenal Petit: 60 meters long, 5-75 meters wide
• Porto Beach: 40 meters long, 35 meters wide

Family tourism and calm waters

All of the beaches are intended for family tourism. This is mainly due to the fact that they are located in a narrow bay that has the function of protecting the beaches from the winds or currents that could occur on them.
They are coves with calm waters where there are not much waves, so they are ideal for going with small children without putting them in any danger.

Activities: pedal boats, stand-up paddle, kayaks, diving school, boat trips, boat rental (also without license), miniature golf.

The different coves that we will find next to the town have a very similar characteristics. All of them have a floor covered with coarse, tan-colored sand, which is ideal for cleaning ourselves when we leave the beach, since it will not stick to our skin.
In addition, they have a fairly steep slope torwards the seashore, but, once here, there is no great drop, so the water will not cover us quickly.

The one that recives the name of El Port de Portinatx is the most remote and hidden cove in three beaches that we are going to find in this area. This is not where we should stop going, since its characteristics make it a beautiful and privilaged enclave due to the natural environment of pine forests by which it is surrounded.

How to get there?

To acces the Port of Portinatx, we will have to go by car to the north of the island torwards San Juan. Then, we have to follow the signs that direct us to the town, until we find the detour to the beach. Very close to this we will find many places to park easily and for free, so going by car is a good option. If we decide to access by public transport, there is a bus stop righ next to the beach.
