The Pint that Took a Plane: A TikTok User’s Ibiza Adventure
A TikTok user, Callum Ryan, took on the challenge of flying to Ibiza to enjoy a pint of beer for less than a crate of beer in London. To complete his mission, he had to find a way to fly overseas without exceeding the price of a crate of 12 cans of Estrella for £15. He got lucky and found a last-minute flight that cost him just £10 from London to Ibiza.
Upon arrival in Ibiza, the Tiktok user went to Rita’s Cantina and ordered lunch. He then asked for a pint of Estrella to see what it would cost him. The pint on its own was €4 which cost £3.22 in sterling, meaning Callum had just scraped the £15 limit. He was thrilled to have succeeded in his challenge.
The video, posted on his TikTok account @thatonecal, has already amassed 24,000 views and thousands of comments. Some of his followers were amazed by his accomplishment while others were less impressed. One follower even asked how Callum got back to London.
Callum’s experience shows that it is possible to enjoy a cheaper pint of beer in some parts of the world. While it may not be feasible for everyone to fly overseas for a drink, it highlights the difference in prices between different countries.
