On Sunday at 10:00 PM, a customer reported the theft of his rented motorcycle to the police. The two young individuals, one an 18-year-old Spanish male and the other a minor, had stolen the rental motorcycle in Ibiza.

On Monday afternoon at 4:45 PM, police officers spotted the stolen motorcycle. The two youths were riding it through the Cas Serres neighbourhood. Recognising the motorcycle, the officers signalled for them to stop.

Instead of stopping, the youths fled, prompting a chase. Additional police units joined in to apprehend the pair. They managed to block the path of the stolen rental motorcycle in Ibiza, bringing the pursuit to an end.
Arrest and Charges
The officers observed that someone had removed the motorcycle’s rental company stickers and forced the ignition. The youths gave inconsistent answers when questioned. Officers arrested them for theft and unauthorised use of a motor vehicle. The 18-year-old driver also faced charges for traffic offences.

The police returned the stolen rental motorcycle to the rental company. The company was relieved to recover their vehicle despite minor damages.

At the police station, the authorities informed the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office about the minor. After completing the necessary formalities, the authorities released the minor into his parents’ custody. The police processed the adult and handed him over to the judicial authorities.
